for the uninformed: google translate is NOT good at translating arabic, not even modern standard arabic (which is what is used in formal contexts and thus what google’s best at). it’s pretty fucking helpless at translating dialects, e.g., palestinian dialect.
so if you chucklefucks could please keep that in mind next time you feel the need to enter an arabic speaker’s inbox and say “google translate says something different than your translation,” that would be fantastic.
